A revolutionary agriculture drone, designed by the entrepreneurial siblings Devika and Devan Chandrasekaran, has earned the prestigious 'Type certification' from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Developed under their start-up, Fuselage Innovations, the FIA QD10 drone promises to transform the agricultural landscape by significantly enhancing crop yield and reducing fertilizer application.

Driven by their mother's experiences of yield losses due to the 2018 Kerala floods, Devika and Devan embarked on a journey to revolutionize agriculture. Their initial attempts to utilize satellite data proved ineffective, prompting them to explore the potential of drone technology.

After three years of unwavering dedication, the FIA QD10 drone emerged as a testament to their perseverance. Equipped with indigenous NaviC technology and a 10-liter capacity, this drone ensures precise spraying of fertilizers, nutrients, and bio-pesticides. Initial studies indicate a remarkable 70% reduction in fertilizer application, minimizing wastage, while simultaneously boosting crop yield by 30%.

Committed to making agriculture drones accessible to Indian farmers, Fuselage Innovations has priced the FIA QD10 between ₹4 lakh and ₹7.5 lakh, depending on customized accessories. This competitive pricing stands in stark contrast to the generally high cost of drones in the Indian market.
