Agri Clinic and Agri-Business Centers Scheme

The Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, in cooperation with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development and MANAGE has launched this unique idea as scheme new scheme named Agri Clinics and Agri-Business Centres (ACABC) Scheme to take better types of farming to each and every farmer across the country.

This unique scheme aims to set up your own AgriClinic or AgriBusiness Centre and offer professional development services to countless farmers all over India.

And, in addition to this scheme, the government is also initiating startup training for graduates in Agriculture or any subject affiliated to Agriculture like Horticulture, Sericulture, Veterinary Sciences, Forestry, Dairy, Poultry Farming, Fisheries, etc. After completing the training, they can apply for special start-up loans for their agri-venture.

Objectives Behind the Scheme

To supplement efforts of public extension by necessarily providing extension and other services to the farmers on a payment basis or free of cost as per the business model of agripreneur, local needs, and affordability of the target group of farmers

To support agricultural development

To constitute gainful self-employment opportunities for jobless agricultural graduates, agricultural diploma holders, transitional in agriculture, and biological science graduates with Post Graduation in agri-related courses.

Special Features of Agri Clinic and Agri-Business Centers Scheme

  • It is a special initiative to advertise entrepreneurship development in the field of agriculture.
  • Training institutes have been established in every state to give 45 days of residential training to students who are ambitious in setting up agri clinics and agribusiness centers.
  • The government has bound up with the National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) Hyderabad Agriculture.
  • During 45 days of training, the entrepreneurs are made aware of topics and procedures related to agricultural clinics and agribusiness.
  • The project management, maintenance of accounts, market survey, personality development, computer internet, etc. will be given to the trainees.
  • The trainees will also be sent on a tour of professional institutes of successful entrepreneurs in the field of agriculture.
