Climate:

Oil palm thrives in tropical and subtropical regions with stable warm temperatures between 30-32°C (86-89.6°F). It requires 5-6 hours of daily sunshine and 75-100% humidity. The plant requires evenly distributed rainfall of 2,500-4,000 mm per year. Irrigation may be necessary in areas with insufficient rainfall.

Soil:

The best soil types for oil palm cultivation are loamy or alluvial well-drained soils. The soil should be at least one meter deep, rich in organic matter, and have a pH level of 4.0 to 6-8.0. Soil salinity, alkalinity, and waterlogging should be avoided.

Seed Preparation:

Oil palms are propagated from seeds taken from fruits. The seeds need proper treatment, including drying in hot rooms and soaking in water, to break dormancy.
